In light of the recent tragedy in Orlando, and increases in awareness of Hate Crimes & perceived dangers - specifically within our Latino|Hispanic|LGBT Communities – we at Unity Coalition|Coalición Unida (UC|CU) feel it is time once again for our STATE OF HATE Series, and invite you to join us on Saturday, August 6, 2016, 9am-1pm at ST JOHNS on the LAKE - 4760 PineTree Drive, miami Beach, Fl 33140.

Since 2011, UC|CU’s State of Hate Workshops have been an opportunity for Local, State & federal law Enforcement and Community Leaders such as yourselves, to come together to discuss policies & procedures on Hate Crimes, How they are reported & followed up on, What we can all do to assist in better reporting, and of course Prevention and Community Awareness.
UC|CU is honored to have Miami Beach Police Chief Daniel J. Oates addressing the tragedies in Orlando, Aurora (where he was police chief) and other communities affected by hate and mass crimes. Det. Juan Sanchez and others from the department will also be participating. Natalie Moore, Training Attorney for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office...Norman Hemming, Special Counsel to the U.S. Attorney, Aryah Lester on issues affecting POC, sex workers & the transgender community, and many other distinguished leaders will be present.
