ArtsUnited, an LGBT artist organization in South Florida, is organizing a travelling art show around the theme of same-sex
weddings. We will select 10-12 digital photos of same-sex weddings from all submissions. These photos will be framed
and displayed, along with a corresponding statement from each couple, in their own words, about what getting married
means to them. There is no cost to enter the exhibit. Below are the details:
Show Title: “We Do, Too! What Marriage Equality Means to Us”
Description: Wedding portraits and words from same-sex married couples, and a brief paragraph on why it was
important they tied the (rainbow) knot.
Medium : Photography (digital)
# of Pieces: Up to 3 submissions per couple; 1 will be chosen for the wall display, the others will go in a photo album.
Sizes: ArtsUnited will have selected photos printed at 11”x 14”, and will have them matted and framed. Couples should
submit via e-mail a JPEG image (minimum resolution should be 2475 x 3150 pixels) to the address listed below.
Exhibition dates: March/April 2013 at Miami Beach Gay & Lesbian Visitors Center; dates TBD at Compass Gay &
Lesbian Center of the Palm Beaches, and the Pride Center in Wilton Manors, FL.
